Pre-Teen Eating Disorder Rates are Rising

So, this is an article that talks to a parent of a daughter who had to be hospitalized (three times in a two week period) for anorexia when she was ten years old. It talks about how rates of eating disorders are rising in pre-teens and how children are becoming more obsessed about their appearance and weight at an earlier age (it suggests that the anti obesity campaigns may be backfiring in some children).

I’m not going to write much more about it because it’s pretty horrible and I’m pretty angry at the media for over hyping the “obesity epidemic” to this point. So, here’s the article:
